B ethea’s Garden, an organically grown farm garden grown and harvested by Brookgreen Gardens horticulture department and a key supplier of fresh home-grown produce for Harvest. What is growing in the garden is often the inspiration for what specials we offer. Many of the fruits and vegetables grown in the garden are heirloom varieties so you get to enjoy living history as part of your meal.
Be sure to visit Bethea’s Garden, located behind the Wall Lowcountry Center. The garden, given by Linda and Dalton Floyd, is named in memory of Linda’s parents, Bethea and Thedis Barrineau. The garden highlights sustainable gardening practices and heirloom species of vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
Meet The Chef
C hef Bill Austin is an honors graduate of the CIA, The Culinary Institute of America. He brings credentials and experience to the position of Executive Chef at Ocean One and Cabana Cafe, having owned and operated seven restaurants over the years. Chef Bill has won numerous culinary awards for food preparation, presentation and original recipes.
